TorontotheBetter works for the excluded

An online TorontotheBetter survey, conducted for its role in a major University of Toronto research project examining the impact of social enterprise on the marginalized, reveals that 65% of TorontotheBetter enterprises provide services available for, and/or relevant to, Toronto's marginalized groups and individuals. Of these, 38% derive a substantial (30% or more) proportion of their revenue from such services. Respondents' primary recommendations for reducing exclusion (for economic, cultural or physical reasons) were to remove barriers and to increase public awareness of them.TorontotheBetter celebrates participating enterprises working for a better Toronto by removing barriers to inclusion of all kinds.
